Tea Time

»Posted by on Apr 15, 2009 in Politics | 0 comments

Well, today’s the day.  We send more money to Washington for them to spread around using their wise and erudite discretion.  Making all things fair and equal.  Stop what you’re doing right now and look at your last pay stub.  Do you realize how much of our hard earned money is being sent away for someone else to decide how to spend?   Look up a tea party near you and get involved.  I’m going to try and attend one near Collegville at 6pm.  Yes I work during the day and can’t take off.  Hate it when I miss seeing “The View.”  Check out this cool web site.

Tax Coke

Coca-Cola that is.  The Philadelphia Enquirer, a hot bed of flaming liberal opinions, reported today that Kelly Brownnell director of the Rudd Center for Food Policy and Obesity, (yes we need the food police to be our nanny), is promoting a tax on soft drinks similar to tobacco and alcohol tax.  Unfortunately the tax will fall heavily on the poor who are typically most harmed by the sugary drinks.  While obesity among children has increased; is this an altruistic solution or just another way for the government to steal from the public?  Governments are hurting for cash because they over promise and over spend.  Solution?  Tax more of your hard earned money.  I suspect this bill will pass congress while the sleeping public comfortably and dreamily snooze. ...

One of the more revealing sections focuses...

More American Arrogance

Great summary article  of Obama’s recent trip to Europe in which he apologized for the arrogance of Americans.  I thought he was POTUS?  See my previous posts about American arrogance.

Coldest Winter in Years….for all you global warming alarmists…

The temperature is actually dropping.  Check out the evidence.  Yet inspite of the evidence, the Obama administration recently disclosed that they are knee deep into “geoengineering” the climate.  John Holdren said one option would be shooting pollution particles into the upper atmosphere (an artificial volcano) to reflect the sun’s rays away from earth.  Once again, no I couldn’t make this stuff up.  As usual, industrial countries around the globe are falling short on pledging to slash their carbon emissions so the US will be made to finance these wacky ideas on our tax dollars.  Obama recently apologized to Europeans about the arrogance of the American people.  But really, how arrogant is it to think that we can manipulate and...
