John Holdren said one option would be shooting pollution particles into the upper atmosphere (an artificial volcano) to reflect the sun’s rays away from earth. Once again, no I couldn’t make this stuff up. As usual, industrial countries around the globe are falling short on pledging to slash their carbon emissions so the US will be made to finance these wacky ideas on our tax dollars. Obama recently apologized to Europeans about the arrogance of the American people. But really, how arrogant is it to think that we can manipulate and control the global climate with hugh fans and man-made volcanoes? With N. Korea testing long range missles, Iran preparing a nuclear war head, pirates raiding our trading vessels in open water, the teetering of Afghanistan and Pakistan, could someone please explain to me why our attention is focused on controlling the earth’s atmosphere?
